Free from any chemical or pesticide, our Rajma (Kidney Beans) Harshil (named after a place called Harshil in near Joshimath in Uttrakhand) comes from the high-rises of Uttrakhand that is home to more than 300 varieties. It is very high in fiber and subtle in taste and when cooked with spice its taste becomes very relish able.
Uttrakhand is home to more than three hundred varieties of Kidney beans or Rajmah and is extensively grown across the state as a cash crop by marginal farmers. It can be eaten as boiled, baked or as Dal. The whole grain is soaked then fried or boiled to make Dal. It is grown at an altitude between 1000 to 2000m above sea level. Rajma Harshil is grown at relatively higher altitude and this particular variety comes from a place called "HARSHIL" near to "Badrinath". White in colour, the taste of Rajma Harshil is unparalled. Once used, people simply can not shift to any other variety because of the taste. This needs to be soaked for 6-8 Hours, before the preparation.
